Measuring with Parts: 

You can use any shape as 'parts' when following our polymer clay color recipes. In these recipes, we define 'parts' as the proportions of different colors you'll use. For example, a recipe might call for 2 parts blue, 1 part fuchsia, and 3 parts yellow. Feel free to choose any shape or cutter to measure these 'parts.' To achieve the desired color, roll out each primary color into slabs of the same thickness before cutting out your shapes. This uniform thickness will help you accurately replicate the specified color ratios in your polymer clay creations.

We also offer a parts cutter, which you may use to create 16 parts at once! This cutter may be helpful for recipes with larger proportions per color. 

Candy finish note: Real conversation hearts have a powdery coating that lightens their appearance. These recipes were matched to the base candy color; additional white can be added if you prefer a softer, more chalky look.
