Clay Thickness Guides

These acrylic depth guides are great for when you want to achieve a specific thickness of clay. They measure 5.5 inches in length and just under 1 inch wide. Each set comes with two guides. 

When working with a clay slab to achieve a specific thickness, position the acrylic depth guides on either side. These guides act as a barrier during the rolling process, restricting the clay from being rolled thinner than the chosen thickness. As you roll the clay, your roller will come into contact with the depth guides, and you won't be able to roll the clay any thinner. This ensures a consistent thickness throughout your clay slab. 

We have three thicknesses available, and they each correspond to a specific purpose: 

• The 1.5 mm guides are perfect for making thin items such as flower petals and leaves or small slab decorations. Additionally, these guides are essential when using our Earring Post Embedder Kit.

• The 2.5 mm guides are ideal for use with our debossing cutters. We make our debossing cutters for use on clay that's 2.5 to 3 mm thick. 

• The 3.5 mm depth guides are specifically tailored for use with texture sheets. Without guides, textures can appear uneven. To achieve a uniform result, roll your clay to about 2.5 mm, place the texture sheet, and position the guides on either side of your clay slab. Effortlessly roll the texture with your roller, ensuring an even and perfectly impressed result, thanks to the precision of our guides.

Please note that our thickness guides may have a tolerance of up to 0.3 mm.
