Create a beautiful elastic bookmark charm with this 8 cm cutter, designed to add a decorative touch that sits on the front of your book.
Use the built-in drill guides to easily mark your hole placement at the top and bottom of the piece. Once baked, drill the holes and attach each end to elastic using ribbon crimp ends to create a functional and elegant bookmark.
Drill guides included: This cutter features built-in drill guides. After pressing the cutter into your clay slab, use the included pin tool to poke small pilot holes in each drill guide. These pin marks act as precise guides for drilling or poking holes, before or after baking, so you can assemble your earrings with ease and accuracy.
We recommend you use 15 mm or 5/8 in fold over elastic with matching crimp end findingsĀ to make the bookmarks. Here are some example crimp ends in gold and silver.Ā
Elastic length will vary depending on the size of your book. To find the right fit:
- Attach a crimp end to one end of your elastic.
- Secure that end to one side of the charm.
- Place the charm on the front cover of your book.
- Wrap the elastic around the book cover.
- Gently stretch the elastic so itās snug, then mark where it meets the other side of the charm.
- Cut the elastic at that point and attach the second crimp end.
This method ensures your elastic bookmark fits your book comfortably without being too tight or too loose.
